Saudi Crown Prince MBS unveils plans for country's first SKI RESORT

Saudi Crown Prince announces plans to build a premium Ski resort along the western-mountainous portion of Saudi Arabia, near the Jordan-Egypt border in the Northwest of the country. In an effort to build & attract businesses outside the oil industry, the commercial development will include a ski resort, condominiums, a man-made lake, and shopping areas. It would include a "vertical village" within the mountain. I would imagine that this will take quite the feat of engineering to accomplish, since that whole area in Saudi Arabia is quite remote and not that snowy to my knowledge. I was stationed in the South Sinai in 2009-2010 & while it did get cold there down into the 40s and 30s, there was not a lot of snow. We'll see if the Saudis can get this project off the ground.
