Transitioning from one airframe to another...watched that in action at RAF Lakenheath, from F111s to F15E

Going from older to more modern tanks was always fun--except, ironically, the M60A3 to M1 transition. The A3's thermal sight was far superior to that of the M1. Of course the M1 had that ghostly quiet turbine and it was great for heating rations and warming up outside the vehicle during winter. . . .
