‘The Hour Is Later Than We Thought’: Thousands Gather at Marches for Abortion Rights

Thousands of marchers converged in the nation’s capital and across the country on Saturday to show their support for abortion rights nearly two weeks after the leak of a Supreme Court draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade.
A crowd of protesters gathered near the Washington Monument before marching to the Supreme Court, with some wearing shirts that read “Bans Off Our Bodies” and “Keep Abortion Safe and Legal.” They vowed to fight to preserve abortion rights, even as some accepted that Roe would most likely be overturned.
Colleen Lunsford, 42, a lawyer from Arlington, Va., brought her 5-year-old daughter, Orla. Pointing to her daughter, she said she attended the march for “her future and autonomy.”

There are actually people here on RP that belive making abortions illegal makes them safer. Sorry, some people just drink too much Kool Aid!

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth I'm sure the will, provided they can afford it on top of the procedure cost. That wasn't an option in 1963 when I lost my friend, they were illegal everywhere.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth Do you actually understand the trigger laws that have been passed and are just waiting for the overturn of RvW? The day after, if not the day of, a decision it will be illegal in 25 - 30 states.

So half the country it will be by legal...they can go there to get it done...constitutionally still up to the states! You don't like the laws, move...that is what is happening in CA and several other states...this should not be a federal issue!

Not going to happen IMO. The money behind the GOP has been packing the Court far too long to let that happen. Of course if it did happen we might finally find out who paid off all of Kavanaugh's debts!

I hear more opposition from men than women on abortion rights. The ultra religious radical right may get their way now but it will come crumbling down for them in the near future.
