‘The Hour Is Later Than We Thought’: Thousands Gather at Marches for Abortion Rights

Thousands of marchers converged in the nation’s capital and across the country on Saturday to show their support for abortion rights nearly two weeks after the leak of a Supreme Court draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade.
A crowd of protesters gathered near the Washington Monument before marching to the Supreme Court, with some wearing shirts that read “Bans Off Our Bodies” and “Keep Abortion Safe and Legal.” They vowed to fight to preserve abortion rights, even as some accepted that Roe would most likely be overturned.
Colleen Lunsford, 42, a lawyer from Arlington, Va., brought her 5-year-old daughter, Orla. Pointing to her daughter, she said she attended the march for “her future and autonomy.”

What is wrong with giving back to the state legislators, the decision of the people to make the rules. This is (supposed to be) a Federal republic controlled by the states and their people.
The question is, will all the people in every state make it legal or illegal to abort a child and should all taxpayers pay for it?
I believe this whole ordeal may have been orchestrated, because the Democrat party needed an issue that their constituents could use to justify voting for them.

Teisha Kimmons, who traveled 80 miles to attend the Chicago rally, said she fears for women in states that are ready to ban abortion. She said she might not be alive today if she had not had a legal abortion when she was 15.
“I was already starting to self harm and I would have rather died than have a baby,” said Kimmons, a massage therapist from Rockford, Illinois.
At that rally, speaker after speaker said that if abortion is banned that the rights of immigrants, minorities and others will also be “gutted,” as Amy Eshleman, wife of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot put it."...
