Mistakes happen. It just goes to show a junior staffer can really make a mistake and ruin your narrative. It happens with both parties. The kente cloth was used by the slave trader people of Africa who traded slaves with the Portuguese and others but yet Nancy Pelosi was trying to Virtue signal after George Floyd was murdered. Africans were pissed off! I won't show you the video but I'm sure you've seen it .

In this case, I don't fault Nancy Pelosi put a junior staffer who should have checked it out to make sure there were no issues with the kente cloth. The same thing probably applies with the Republican senator. The Republican senator probably has no behind left but there's no catastrophic damage compared to what happens to Democrats with the kente cloth.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel DUH! What's the Trumpublican Senator Hagerty doing to preserve our democracy & Constitution...
..."Here’s the catch, though. Those were Marines in that photo. There’s even a statue of that very same moment at the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Virginia. (Not to mention that it is one of the most iconic Marine Corps photos in history.)

The image was quickly replaced with one that managed to include only Army soldiers in it, but the original was captured for posterity before being taken down."...

Wow. Maybe folks can not differentiate between the Army and the Marines because both are ground troops and many could not differentiate between the uniforms when both are the same, with only a few differences in how they are worn?

One sure fire obvious way, courtesy of our "military common sense" would be if the action takes place in the middle of the ocean on an island . . . it's gonna be the Marines!
