Yes, I know that this is old news. I had heard stories about gun confiscation following Hurricane Katrina but didn't see any reports on the news (CNN, NBC, et al) and didn't fully accept at that time that they had abandoned journalistic ethics and become propagandists (shills) for the progressive Left. After finding and posting another story of infringement, I took a few moments to look for documented stories from the time of Hurricane Katrina. There are, of course, many links to stories posted by media that some would dismiss, but this should satisfy all

WOW! That video is an eye opener, CPT Jack Durish!!! That is the Politicians/Government exceeding their authority and as I see things rolling out today, We are now in a what is becoming a worse situation than those people who were treated like criminals after Katrina! The citizenry had best stand together and fight this type of inane government overreach or we will be slaves to the government like in some other countries of the world...Just saying...

I remember it well. those that had their weapons confiscated never got them back or only got a few back. The NRA produced a series of what happened even had it posted to you tube.
