Mary of Magdala was a follower of Jesus Christ who provided a significant amount of the money necessary to support the ministry. At the resurrection Our Lord showed himself to her before any of the apostles and disciples. It was Mary that first brought news of the resurrection to the apostles and is therefore known as the "Apostle to The Apostles".
