I've heard of this. In fact just the other day I saw an interview on TV with one of the players. The PGA has been banning or threatening to ban players who play for LIV or other outside organizations; from playing in the PGA in the future, simply because they participated in these other organizations tournaments... It sounds like they're trying to corner the market. Hopefully they stop this. It's not good for their brand. Let the players play for them or whatever organization if they want to. It's good for golf and may spread interest in the sport. If they're afraid it'll hurt their bottom line. Then the PGA really needs to worry about their product and marketing. Not their competition.

The PGA gave the grieving players an option, prior to court: (1) play in LIV and leave the PGA or; (2) take a reduced earnings from PGA to be a part of LIV. Indeed; the PGA has been a monopoly thus far and so, competition is being discouraged by the PGA.

Seems like just a sports related non competition clause.

"Why did 11 golfers file an antitrust lawsuit against the PGA?
Eleven professional golfers filed an antitrust lawsuit against the PGA Tour Wednesday after being suspended from playing in the tour over their involvement with the Saudi-backed LIV league. The complaint, filed with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, ratchets up an ongoing battle between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour."
