I have never heard that term used in my practice. But I agree, let's figure out what is actually going on here.

Excited delirium is NOT a medically recognized term. Law enforcement should not be given a pass to make-up 'medical' conditions.

Thanks for the article. The way society makes up words these days and are almost immediately included in the dictionary, it's tough to say what's right. It does seem professionals are arguing about it.
