Germany constantly bombed civilians, yet the allies were condemned for bombing the German and Japanese war factories because they were surrounded by homes.

It's amazing how close Germany came to defeating Britain. The Brits were on the edge until Hermann Goring stopped the bombing raids because they were losing so many planes.

When I was in England, almost every time we were doing construction, we had to call out EOD (Brits) to defuse and remove unexploded ordinance
