"The James Webb Space Telescope captured the first-ever high-sensitivity photos of infrared light from Mars.
The first images and spectroscopy of Mars from the James Webb Space Telescope were released on Monday (September 19) at the Europlanet Science Congress (EPSC) 2022. Images and measurements were taken by JWST on September 5, 2022, at a distance of around a million miles from Mars."
One would think that Planet Mars is too close for the JWST to do anything useful for science, but that turns out to be a false understanding of the JWST's capability as you will see when you watch this video... It is another watch, listen and learn scenario...
