This is an aftershock of the 7.6, of 19 September. It's a short article.
This is what I think is remarkable:
"Monday's more powerful quake was the third major earthquake to strike on Sept. 19 — in 1985, 2017 and now 2022. The 2017 and 2022 Sept. 19 quakes came very shortly after the annual earthquake drill conducted every Sept. 19 to commemorate the devastating 1985 temblor that killed some 9,500 people."

Wondering how we add a topic. I see there are other natural disasters as topics e.g. Floods, specific Hurricanes, not Earthquakes or Volcanic Eruptions.

Me too. It's near the annual autumnal equinox . . . I'm rather dubious about the sun/moon/earthquake connection some folks speak of and try to provide evidence for . . . however I don't consider it to be an impossibility. Presumably our planet is tilted at the same angle on that day, each year.
