Elon Musk has done some great things to push forward technology in this country. His political views are ... not that great. Likewise, Henry Ford also moved forward industry in this country but he was a huge anti-semite.
People are complex. They can do good things in one sense and totally stink in another.

I add up pros and cons. More pros that cons is good. If cons are equal to or somewhat behind the pros but the "critical" items (1st, 2nd, 4th Amendments, moral issues, etc.) are all pro, then they are a go.
