Another good article Major.
Lt. McGowan was as noted part of the 391st Fighter Squadron, 366th Fighter Group, a P-47 outfit.
They are now based here at Mountain Home AFB (Mt. Home, ID) as the 391st Fighter Squadron "Bold Tigers", 366th Fighter Wing flying F-15E Strike Eagles.
