Capt Gregory Prickett - You swore an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States, and were taught that you may NOT obey an unlawful order. Orders to take an experimental drug were unlawful, and violated not only US Code, but the Nuremberg Code as well. It's not enough to follow orders blindly, one must assess the legal, moral and ethical aspects of any order. Sometimes this analysis takes only a split second, other times it takes research and intestinal fortitude.

First, the Covid vaccine was not an experimental drug by the time that service members were ordered to take it.

Second, the Nuremberg Code is not law anywhere in the world.

Third, lawyers for DOD and the service branches have assessed the orders, and given the green light. Thus far, the Courts have not prohibited DOD from continuing with the vaccine program, although they have issued injunctions on discharges, which is a procedural matter to maintain the status quo.

Fourth, we certainly don't need you to explain the ramifications of our oath, when it has been shown repeatedly that you don't understand the law, or the Constitution. You repeated references to cases that have been superseded by changes to the law proves that point.

Would you have thrown the same snowflake hissy-fit if you were at Valley Forge when Washington ordered that all Continental soldiers be inoculated by what was a truly experimental process (and remained so until twenty years later)?

You of all people, Capt. You should know better. Would you have been a Good German? Following the unlawful or immoral orders of your superiors? There is something seriously wrong with the thinking that one must follow anything told to them. We are trained to follow only lawful orders. How do you explain yourself? The military deliberately mislabeled vaccines to make them appear approved, but they were not. The vaccine still being forced on military personnel is not approved, it is experimental, and therefore may not be forced on personnel. Recall the Anthrax vaccine debacle? Nuremburg much?

MAJ Montgomery Granger - I believe I would, since the Bundeswehr insists that their soldiers disobey not only illegal orders, but also that "a military order is not binding if it is not 'of any use for service,' or cannot reasonably be executed."

Second, the order to take the COVID vaccine is lawful.

Third, the vaccine is not experimental, and was not experimental at the time DOD issued the order. To say otherwise is a QAnon / Antivaxxer lie.

Fourth, I do recall the anthrax vaccine debate, and the court cases. Do you? The court cases were dropped on appeal, and the military was allowed to continue to vaccinate against anthrax as needed. The vaccine is currently required for personnel assigned to the US Central Command and to those stationed in Korea.

Finally, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, the Nuremberg Code is not law anywhere in the world. It's technically no more binding than the Hippocratic Oath. It's an ethical guideline, nothing more.
