How a Russian Tactical Nuke on Ukraine Will Destroy Europe

I served in Europe for almost ten years, 7 of them in Germany, the rest mostly in Vicenza IT. I participated in Able Archer 1983, an exercise which convinced some of the senior Russian leaders that NATO was preparing to attack them. The issue about using a tactical nuke was that almost everyone believed that using a small nuke would unleash a cascade of ever-larger warheads as nations demonstrated their determination not to be intimidated. I think Putin really believes that we are so afraid of him that we would not dare to reply in kind. It's a potential nightmare, an unfunny version of Dr. Strangelove.

This is worse than the Cold War, and I am getting tense, really really concerned.
