I just read what you wrote. Some units would work well single sex while others do just fine with both...it's a matter of figuring it out. Vehicle Ops never seemed to have a problem nor did TMO, but Vehicle Maintenance was a bit more reluctant to accept women until they discovered that a woman's smaller hands were often very helpful...but carrying equipment was often much more of a challenge...

Agreed! I felt women did great in medical and Military Police units I served in. One soldier, Sgt. Lee Ann Hester, earned a Silver Star for bravery and valor in Iraq while I was there. Great warriors. I just think all-women combat arms units would be very high performing. In women's professional sports they can beat most men!
