From a political perspective, this was amazing. It is a Republican county. If they hadn't certified the votes would not have been counted resulting in 2 Republican winners becoming losers. If you are a Republican, how is that a good idea?

..... or are they trying to make sure the will of the people is actually followed?

Bear in mind they didn't say they wouldn't certify. Just that they wouldn't certify YET. They wanted to make sure everything was good, first.

The Secretary of State - who also happened to be the one personally and specifically benefitting from her orders to certify. You don't think it is just a TINY bit suspect when the Secretary of State is on the ballot, is currently winning, and she wants to rush things forward with no chance to make sure everything checks out?

Not even a little bit?

If she gives it time and it checks out, she loses nothing but gains credibility. Why then, if everything is on the up and up, would she rush it?
