I have read two biographies about Joan of Arc. Amazing stories. When asked about a weapon she stated her sword was buried behind a certain Church alter. A relative of the French King acting as a envoy tried to under cut Joan’s authority, The battle commanders chose to follow her. During one battle she turned to a soldier standing next to her and said “ I would move”. As the man stepped aside a cannon ball whizzed past! During her trial the illiterate Joan of Arc repeatedly out witted some of the best ecclesiastical minds around. There was indeed something divine!

Back then the French and English didn't play well with each other.
