... except that it wasn't.

The Democratic party DESPARATELY needs for this to be an insurrection so they can label Republicans as insurrectionists (legally, not just rhetorically) and bar them from office.

Elections are a lot easier when you prevent you can jail half the opposition. Putin taught them well.

Republicans are the ones who learned from Putin. Some of them actually praise the Russian dictator.

LTC Eugene Chu words have meaning. Recognition and praise are two different things.

Jen Psaki had a remarkable talent for spinning the truth into something completely unrecognizable. She has a GIFT. Hitler was an exceptionally charismatic leader and a very good orator. Both misused their gifts and talents to support bad agendas. As such neither is worthy of praise or emulation.

But recognizing their gifts is admitting to facts. Which is completely different.

Putin *has* been exceptionally effective at Iimplementing his plan for Russia. That isn't praise. It is simply truth.

And Zelenskyy *is* a thug. It just so happens he is exactly the thug Ukraine needed (needs) at the time. Yes, Zelenskyy is doing great things right now. That doesn't change how he came to power or kept it.

And none of that is relevant to the Democrats pulling a play out of Putin's playbook by attempting to "disqualify" political opponents from elections. Because that is EXACTLY what the "insurrection" talk is about.
