Been there, done that from 1996-1999. I was there when Hurricane Georges happened. The site and base suffered a lot of wind damage, but not much flooding. Our Ops building was shut down for a week, while the entire base conducted clean-up of downed trees.
Before I reported in November 1996, Hurricane Hortense hit the island and put out a LOT of rain. There were still flood water lines on walls in the maintenance office, 5 feet up when I reported in.
