Perhaps your habit of letting rags like "The Federalist" do your thinking for you is what you should really be ashamed of.
But the fact that they feel they need to preempt you with excuses and talking points rather than letting you think for yourself does say something about Biden's effectiveness.
I admit I am sometimes envious of people like you who have realized how difficult and onerous thinking for oneself can be, so you have decided to hand over that chore and that responsibility to people you feel are better equipped. But given that you don't like thinking for yourself, it is natural you would make bad decisions when deciding who should do your thinking for you. The ole' Catch 22.
