The headline is stating something that isn't true.
The bill the House passed does not slash benefits or care for veterans, it doesn't touch social security, or Medicare. It doesn't do any of that.
This is simply another liberal scare tactic.
Meanwhile, the bills advocated by Biden and company want more spending despite the fact that they spent trillions over the last couple of years and tanked the economy.
If Liberals really cared for veterans and the elderly, they would have spent the money over the past couple of years on social security, veteran benefits, etc instead of cash give aways (300 dollars per child every month) and other unsustainable actions.

You're playing with words. It slashed discretionary spending which is where funding for the VA comes from. Funding for service pay also falls into that category by the way.

I'm stating facts. Anytime a bill goes through the different votes to become law, there are changes made. All discretionary spending will not be slashed. It will be targeted.
If Democrats in Congress hadn't been intent to run up the deficit and kill the economy by passing multi-trillion-dollar bills that simply gave money away instead of fortifying social security and other programs, we would not be in the situation that we are.

I'm saying the bill they passed doesn't say that. I am also saying that the way bills become law don't use the wide brush that you are saying they do. They are more targeted.
The reason some Democrats and left-wing news media is saying that is to spread fear and is partially based on a suggesting by the CBO which the VA secretary shot down. As he said in the article, other than the CBO, no one else is suggesting cuts to the VA or eliminating disability based on income.
