Lt Col Charlie Brown Everyone has different levels of grief depending on their feelings of those they have lost. Some deal with loss better than others. Seeing a mental health professional would be a start for someone who is having a difficult time dealing with it.

I was fortunate to work Elizabeth Kubler Ross, famous for her book 5 stages of grief, there is nothing to prepare you for an unexpected loss. A smart thing to do would be update your will and POA and let your wishes regarding organ donation and life support be known to your family or significant other. The more you love, the harder you grief.
