Target is giving in to anti-LGBTQ bullies –it’s time to fight back

"Nothing is more all-American than a big box store. In our increasingly fragmented and isolated society, Target is still a place Americans of all walks of life gather – a place where our collective national values are represented. Capitalism is our national religion, and big box stores are our local churches.
The first time I saw Pride merchandise in Target, my heart soared. People like me, so long excluded from mainstream American society, were being not only represented but celebrated. Pride being in a mainstream big box store like Target marked a cultural shift from the 90s and 00s where being gay was so verboten that brands wouldn’t dare market to us so openly, especially in colorful displays prominently placed in the store. It signaled a mainstream acceptance.
It is unsurprising, then, that the far-right would target LGBTQ inclusion in what is one of the last universals in American life. In a video posted yesterday by the Twitter account @PatriotTakes, an unhinged extremist harasses Target employees after destroying a Pride display. “Your kids can’t be gay!” he shouts at a family shopping with their children as he is escorted out of the store".

I think the big controversy here is that the left has been trying boycotts for years (especially the LGBTQ crowd) and the right comes along and does it better than they ever were able .. so cry me a river.
Remember when the left boycotted Target back in 2010 because they didn't give $150,000 matching funds to a pro-gay Minnesota politician (https://www.politico.com/story/2010/08/moveon-calls-for-boycott-of-target-041160), however the boycott was at best a 'bit successful' and at worst a complete whiff (sales were down .2 percent off of expected target numbers after a month - https://www.twincities.com/2010/09/01/target-sales-disappoint-but-boycott-effect-inconclusive/). But yes - typical left strategy - basically protection rackets - give us money or you're going to pay!
Remember the left's call for a boycott of Chick-fil-A because although the stores didn't have any policies that were 'anti-LGBTQ', the CEO dared to express his personal view about gay marriage. Of course, that blew up in the Left's face as well because Chick-fil-A went on to replace KFC as the country's #1 chicken fast-food restaurant (of course, the fact it makes a great chicken sandwich probably has a lot to do with that).
Really, I think the left is just upset because their boycotts sucked and the right showed them up.

I just love how folks on here keep saying the radical right started cancel culture...there is a technical term for that...HORSE NUGGETS! When you started boycotting Chick Fil A because of their beliefs, hobby lobby for their corporate beliefs et al. Now when the right boycotts Bud Light and Target we are suddenly the radical ones. Because we are standing up for our beliefs we are now radical...well get used to it...it isn't going away. The left started this crap and the right has been silent so long and just sat back and took it and the left isn't used to anyone standing up to their crap and getting stuff shoved down our throats, well the whirlwind is just beginning, get ready to reap it!

I really like to piss off the transgender lift because I have a transgender stepdaughter and when I remind them that lots of them have addictions like my stepdaughter has, depression drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes doing pot and we lately have seen the last couple years four different transgender people get involved in mass casualty shootings but the FBI won't release the manifesto of the last assassin because it'll hurt the feelings it'll hurt the sore Papas of the fake females if they come out and find out that the narrative is that many of them have mental issues. To put things into perspective, I have met full transgender female types at my work and they seem squared away so it's just a large minority that have this problem so I'm not saying that all of them are like this but just like in society there are a lot of depressed people who are straight who end up doing Mass casualties shooting too but when it comes to pointing out that they're transgender and that they have a higher propensity of mental issues addictions, the left doesn't like that. That's why the FBI is silent because they suck up to the lgbtq people even though 50% of the population are female and probably less than 3% are transgender, Democrats think that transgender people are more female than real females and they think that illegal aliens are more American than real americans. That is a sad truth but the old Democratic party didn't used to be this way just the William Shatner weird or what democratic party of today.
