I still don't have a lot of hope that they find them alive, if they don't get to them today. If the cold doesn't get them, the bends will. The noises could definitely help pinpoint their location for recovery if we can get the sound isolated.

Having said that, I REALLY hope and pray that they can get them found and brought to the surface alive. I've worried about a submarine tourism accident since I went through sub school. The deep is not a place to take untrained people. It is not a video game.
If you want to do research, do research and get funding.

Looks bleak for a successful outcome a la , the Apollo mission, the Chilean miners, or the Thai soccer team...God speed to the rescuers
