A bit true, however Bonus Depreciation was only in effect between late 2017 and then end of 2022. During that timeframe, there was a slight uptick in 2019 (then decrease in 2020 .. like all things that happened in that timeframe), but it's been pretty consistent in the numbers per year.
I agree with the business write-off being a main reason a lot do it, but not because of Bonus Depreciation. The only (smart) ones that buy their own jets are those that are flying a lot (individually or as a business group). Most advice I've seen says if you fly >300 hours* a year or are spending more than $250k in charter flights, then it make sense for the business to look at whole ownership. Otherwise it makes much better fiscal sense to do fractional ownership, charter or just "uber" it (of course, flying commercial is still an option).

Democrats in the elite say don't do what I do do as I say!
Democrats who want us to stop flying jets are the ones who take Jets to go to switzerland, Japan, Egypt and they will have to go to Dubai the United Arab Emirates in December when the weather is nice and not not 130°. Probably Democrats will go fly there just like Nancy Pelosi went to Egypt when she was in late duck Speaker of the House.
