The deployment of reservists is not generally concerning; the composition of support troops being activated from IRR here (trauma surgeons, and other specialties, etc.), on the other hand, is not the norm here IMHO.

Don't see an issue with the IRR stuff either - the EO said up to 3,000 and not more than 450 from the IRR.
Trying to look at it objectively that he was asked by the commander to have flexibility to tap into the reserve for some of those "reserve component" capabilities that don't really exist in numbers on the active component side.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen I was stationed in Nuremberg and then Vilseck, 1st Armored/3rd ID, 90-92. They closed Pinder Barracks and moved us to Vilseck which was brand new.
