Heard about this at work yesterday.

I am very proud of my vocabulary and my ability to properly and accurately state things. But here.... I simply do not have the words to properly express my thoughts and feelings regarding the situation. Not for the original botched delivery, the cover up, or for the loss for this family.

I would wish that the entire hospital is sued into bankruptcy and completely out of business. That is what my heart says. But my head says that despite this incident, the hospital almost definitely does far more good than harm, and that vindictive desire would end up hurting countless more innocent Atlantans.

But this doctor? She needs to be a pauper for the rest of her life - most of which she spends in jail. Sue her to the limit of her malpractice insurance - plus every single dime she has in the bank, the value of all her property, and every single investment she may have. And then another $10M on top of that. And don't just throw the book at her, throw ALL of the books. Charge her for EVERYTHING you possibly can. Hell, charge her for jaywalking on her way to work that morning. Make her spend as much time in jail as possible without violating legal ethics.

I don't know a single person involved in this case, I can barely even point to Atlanta on a map. I have less than no connection. And I am still heartbroken.

All the individuals involved who covered it up definitely need to be held accountable. I'm confused as to why they thought the funeral director wouldn't notice the baby's head was decapitated?!?!?

When I watched video of their lawyer describing what happened - I cried. Like...I can't even imagine to not only you go through the loss of a child at birth but then to find out why? And that everyone lied to you about how the death happened? And then trying to hide it, trying to convince them to cremate...it's disgusting.

See! We can agree on things. All it takes is truly revolting acts perpetrated against a child and family.

But seriously.... I didn't cry when I found out my dad has cancer. And I have cried about this story three times, now. Just absolutely awful in every way.
