Prior to the Marines being sent a USAF chopper containing Air Force Security Police was sent and crashed along the way. Indications which were not admitted to were that it was shot down and all aboard died. Understandably the USAF Security Police leaders wanted that followed on and in very heated discussion got the Marines to respond which they did and were carried in 14 USAF helicopters. This photo shows all the Air Force Security Police aboard that chopper that died on the chopper that went down. The US Government tried to hide the fact they were involved and not admit our involvement at that point. My salute to all those Marines and Air Force people that died on that mission. .
