I would really like to see these "credible studies" Walko is on about. I will bet he cannot produce one.

Oh look, Walco added a link to a "credible study"... What did it say?

Conclusion: "The recommendation to wear surgical masks to supplement other public health measures did not reduce the SARS-CoV-2 infection rate among wearers by more than 50% in a community with modest infection rates, some degree of social distancing, and [underline] uncommon general mask use. The data were compatible with lesser degrees of self-protection." - That is a far cry from "zero effect" that Walko stated.

Also, with this credible study - the limitations of the study: "Inconclusive results, missing data, variable adherence, patient-reported findings on home tests, no blinding, and no assessment of whether masks could decrease disease transmission from mask wearers to others." - But this is the "credible study" Walko wants to cite.... Of course it is.

For anti-mask wearers, think about Japan and its low COVID rates…

Yep won't be doing this again. Like most military offices you wore it when you were on camera or at an event but never in the day to day work. Funny after kicking thousands out over this vaccine and now we cannot even coming close to filling the 60K we are short....doubt the next jab will be mandatory.

MAJ (Join to see) - I'll post a link. Why won't you? Lack of integrity? In the link we see Dr. Fauchi saying (4:00 min mark), "[masks don't work] That's not so.". He goes on to say, "There's no doubt that masks work. ... There's no doubt that the weight of the studies and there have been many studies indicate the benefits of wearing masks." - So now the question is, were you wrong or were you lying about what you claim Fauchi said? If you still stick by your statement, then it is on you to provide the evidence to support it. I have provided direct evidence - the man's own words - directly contradicting what you said. You gave me a down vote for giving you accurate information, almost as if you do not want the accurate information because you do not like it. Now, any officer with integrity would own up to his mistake at this point. What will you do? Produce the evidence? Admit you were mistaken? Get angry and start using insults? Block me because you don't like accurate information and prefer living your life believing incorrect information?

MSgt Steve Sweeney okay so if you read the article it will probably help you out. The good thing about him being government staff is all of his emails were tracked and FOIA shows he didn't believe in the mask mandate but went along with it for...you guessed it political reasons. Are you seriously so worried about a down vote, don't worry I pulled it so you can feel like a better person. Clearly I wasn't wrong but you keep chugging away at what you believe. In the end it is not my responsibility for someone else's health. If you have health issues feel free but forcing others to live in your fear is un-American. You have a wonderful day.

MAJ (Join to see) - So you simply mischaracterized his statements from a position of not understanding. The fundamental misunderstanding is what I stated previously.... People are under the misconception that wearing a mask is to protect themselves. As Fauci said in 2020, as stated in the article you posted, "Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection." - No flip flop. Rather a failure to understand by the general public and a media more interested in trying to get a "gotcha" moment rather than educating the public. The media failed in that regard as well.

This is at the root of the problem with people thinking masks don't work. They work perfectly well for what they were designed for, and they were not designed to protect the wearer. The thing is, people are primarily self-serving and can not wrap their head around a concept that would have them doing something for someone else's benefit. They will refuse to do it, or they will half-ass it... as you clearly illustrated in your initial post. And then when the results don't happen, they blame the mask rather than their own self-serving behavior.

I wonder if you would feel the same if it was something like Ebola or smallpox that was spreading and putting your family at risk.
