I can understand their concern, especially given the hyping of the danger by those with political agendas, but the reality is that the amount of tritium in the water being released is one seventh the allowed allowed in drinking water standards by most developed countries. That's even before this controlled and gradual release, (est 0.6gm/year), is diluted in the ocean waters. It's also far lower than discharges from most active plants. All the heavier and more dangerous isotopes such as Cesium, Strontium, Iodine, etc. have already been filtered out. This release has been approved by the IAEA and the WHO as safe.
