I work in O&G tangentially, and the biggest problem with the policies that Biden is putting in place is that shutting down production helps nobody. It raises prices because the supply is now restricted. It isn't as easy as turning a tap back on to restart production. Pressures change down-hole, production will NEVER be what it was prior to being shut in, so less product in the market.
Hoping that OPEC will crank production back up is ridiculous. They want to make money too, and the policies globally with the Green Energy cult have made it evident that O&G is on borrowed time, so guess what happens? They cut production to pad their pockets. REDUCED production won't hurt the wells, so they just stretch their production/well out another year or more while making ungodly profits.

I forgot to mention that stupid President Biden killed the Keystone XL pipeline. Because of this, the oil has to come by rail car and the oil company's discount the oil because of the added shipping costs. So stupid President Biden virtue signaling to kill the pipeline but then you have a higher propensity for having derailments. This is the same mentality by other stupid democrats. One of the worst ones is Governor Inslee of the druggie state of Washington. Here's a story from about seven or eight years ago showing how stupid Democrats don't do the math and don't care about United States or Canadian Oil sources. Governor Inslee of Washington state refused to buy oil from Canada which was only 500 miles away from the oil sands of Alberta or a thousand miles away from the cracking oil areas of North dakota. Instead, what did he do? He buys oil from Vladivostok Russia and ships it by supertanker. Just like President Biden being stupid and buying oil from venezuela, which is also sour oil and then insult to injury ships it by supertanker to the usa. Shipping oil 7600 km East is the equivalent of 4,722 mi. Stupid Democrats ship it all the way East using carbon dioxide dirty oil bunker oil tankers to ship it to Washington State instead of having it sent by rail car. That's how stupid Democrats are who wants a virtue signal but they don't do the math that they could have saved time save money and help the environment at the same time. It's about as stupid as John Kerry jumping on his wife's private jet which he doesn't admit is his and flies all over the world instead of doing a conference call online. Animals farm mentality of Democrats.

Financial post is part of the conservative newspaper National Post which is a Murdock paper and related to Fox news. If it weren't for me living in Canada and reading these papers, I wouldn't remember these stupid stories that I could use today to show how mismanaged the governor of Washington state is. Washington state has legalization of all drugs yet has the ability for someone to get a concealed carry or open carry gun permit. It's kind of a Twilight Zone. Drug use everywhere and people with open carry holstered weapons. My Army reserve unit was there and I walked into downtown Seattle to see horrible conditions druggies everywhere yet people talking on the street with holster semi-automatic pistols. We already seen how Seattle has lost about 1/3 of its Police Department because it's radical mayor and board decided to cut 100 officers but over 200 quit out of the 800 so now they're in a pickle and they wonder why their society is falling apart and people are moving out of this city of seattle. Decorations are clean Seattle like they are clean San Francisco Portland and other broke and stupid left municipalities. It really grinds my gears that they would either buy oil from Russia than buy it from a US Source or from a Canadian neighbor that has the third largest oil reserves in the world. I remember when Facebook censored me because I posted a meme showing that out of the top five oil Reserve countries in the world come only one of them was Democratic and that was canada. So Iran, Saudi arabia, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela and Canada. All of a sudden it said that my post didn't meet Community standards so I did a screenshot of it and posted it again and a discussion on Facebook to make fun of the people who were trying to censor me. They didn't censor it the second time.

And President Biden's making it easier. President Biden will get shut down eventually for shutting down Anwar because that was voted in by Congress and signed by President Trump. My Coal stocks have jumped 7% in the last week and a half. I expect the power shortage in the winter so prices of fuel and coal are going to go up.
