Mike Hamra’s entry into the race to succeed Gov. Mike Parson puts him on a collision course with House Minority Leader Crystal Quade. Hamra is the CEO of Hamra Enterprises, which operates Wendy’s, Panera and Noodles & Company restaurants in 11 states.
Springfield businessman Mike Hamra jumped into the Missouri governor’s race on Thursday, setting up a showdown in the Democratic primary with House Minority Leader Crystal Quade.
Hamra is the CEO of Hamra Enterprises, which operates Wendy’s, Panera and Noodles & Company restaurants. In 2011, he became CEO of the company, which operates eateries in 11 states.
In his announcement video, Hamra said he would be the “ideas governor,” adding that “if something doesn't work, we'll keep coming up with new ideas until we get the job done.”
“In our business, we listen to the needs of our employees and our customers, and we get to work finding ways to solve them,” Hamra said. “We need leaders who take the same approach from Missouri families.”
He said that some of the issues he’ll be focusing on in his campaign include bolstering job training programs and making child care more affordable.

I'm guessing he's Sam's son. He'll be a great choice to lead the state. Think "Trump" but without the social media drama. Business skills which leaders these days lack. Solid family. I'd definitely support him if I were still a Missouri resident.

SGT (Join to see) - I'm no Trumper but I do think the leader of the country needs to have solid real world business acumen. I have no doubt the Hamra clan has the requisite skills without the drama or the rest of the ginger headed twitteridiot's antics.

I used to deal with Sam Hamra when I was a finance manager at Thompson's. He built his HQ on Ingram Mill Rd. just a couple of blocks over from the house I grew up in. The entire Hamra clan are solid SWMO citizens with deep roots and solid commitment to the community. I always ignore party affiliation and look at the person. Granted I tend to vote Conservative/Libertarian but I will vote for a well qualified Democrat (I used to live in Ike Skelton's US House district and he was a MAN among MEN!)
