Navy fires commanding officer following investigation

Cmdr. Steven J. Green has been fired as commanding officer of Transaction Service Center Great Lakes in Illinois, following an investigation, Navy officials announced on Tuesday.
The Navy has not said publicly what the investigation looked into.
“The relief was the result of Cmdr. Green failing to fulfill his responsibilities as the commanding officer of TSC Great Lakes,” Lt. Cmdr. John J. Stevens, a spokesman for MyNavy Career Center. “The removal of Cmdr. Green from his position as commanding officer is administrative in nature. It would be inappropriate to discuss possible future actions at this time.”

Capt. Jason R. Grose, commanding officer of Navy Pay and Personnel Support Center, relieved Green on Monday “due to a loss of confidence in his ability to fulfill the responsibilities as commanding officer,” a Navy news release says."...
