This is disturbing, SGT (Join to see), to say the least, but the person who MIGHT become in charge is future fantasy, and Donald J. Trump would not put children in harm's way, but it was not something that former President Trump championed. (Quite the opposite, as I see it) and it was fact checked by USA Today. I am an Independent and as such I weigh fact over innuendo...
I believe we all agree down deep in our souls that the Border crisis is untenable and needs to cease and NO CHILD should ever be put in this situation... There is more to the overall story, and I am sure it can be picked apart, so I refer you to the then USA Today Headline and story. It is true that Trump administration immigration policies involved separating migrant children from their parents and detaining them in "cages," a practice halted by a federal judge in 2018, according to USA TODAY. During the speech, Obama did not mention the holding enclosures were built during her husband's administration.
Why were the 'cages' built?
In a 2019 interview with nonpartisan think tank The Aspen Institute, Jeh Johnson, Barack Obama's Homeland Security secretary, told NPR's Mary Louise Kelly that the "cages" predate the Trump administration.
"Chain-link barriers, partitions, fences, cages, whatever you want to call them were not invented on January 20, 2017," Johnson said.
Kelly asked Johnson about a 2014 photograph of him touring an Arizona facility for migrants along with former Gov. Jan Brewer. The picture is archived on the website for the Arizona Capitol Times.

The border crisis is essentially no different than it was when I was in Del Rio TX 1968-69. What has changed is one party trying to make it an issue. Look neither party has had the gumption to address immigration policy that has been broken for decades.
As to the link, any temporary holding facility looks like cages. It's how they are used that matter, and the Obama administration didn't build them to be used as the Trump administration did.
