Let'm sue - if they win then maybe I can find a lawyer willing to file suite for my wife not being given any VA assessment "because she wasn't a combat veteran" and was only injured in peacetime... yeah I'm a lit' bit unhappy about that issue.

SFC Ralph E Kelley - I checked with my Exc. Director of our Women's Veterans group who works with the DAV. So...

First off you do not have to be a Combat Vet to qualify for VA care and whomever said that is flat out ignorant and needs a swift kick in the ass. Pardon my French as I can be the Mama Grizzly Bear from Hell on steroids and I'm the weak one of our Women's Veteran Group.

1. Have her call your local DAV. Make an appointment. Don't forget your DD214 when you go in.

2. Have her tell them about her health care while in service like reproductive, injuries, trauma and such. I mean every single thing and how it impacts her health now so a claim can be worked up and filed. You know as well as I do that no one coming out of basic especially back then when we ran in Combat Boots didn't t experience problems with feet, knees or back.

SFC Ralph E Kelley If there is anything our ED can do let me know. She is more than willing to reach out to any female vet.
