As of December 5, the cyclone had made landfall between Nellore and Kavali in Andhra Pradesh, with wind speeds reaching up to 110 km/h (68 mph). The city's infrastructure was severely impacted, with reports of waterlogged streets, power outages, and disrupted internet services. Chennai airport was forced to close until 11:30 pm due to the adverse weather conditions, and several trains were canceled or diverted. Chennai is flooded and has reported 12 dead Lt Col Charlie Brown.

It's amazing how beautiful and destructive our planet is. We aren't very smart if we think we can construct things that will withstand the worst weather, or other natural events, Terra throws at us.

My prayers to the people of India affected by this cyclone and I hope the casualties are light.
