This could very well set a precedent, but in my opinion I think SCOTUS will state there has to be a conviction not someone's opinion of committing insurrection.

The 14th Amendment reads, "... shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same [United States], or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof". A number of people have been convicted for seditious conspiracy for the events on Jan 6, and Trump has given "aid and comfort" (not financially of course) numerous times to those charged and convicted. Plenty there to disqualify Trump absent his own conviction.

Some people just don't like to follow the Constitution.
