Was it true that this proof of plagiarism was bought to their attention by another Harvard 'Personality'? Dayum! Infighting at 'Institutions of Higher Education' is worse than an election year.

No surprises here, she's an incompetent administrator we used to describe as an example of the "Peter Principle.". Promoted well beyond their ability to perform a job, but in her case I am sure much of it was due to both her sex and skin color.

Penny Pritzker (billionaire) sister of Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker (billionaire) led the search for a new president at Harvard.
Much like how her attributes (billionaire who donated large sums of money to the Obama campaign) got her appointed as the 38th United States Secretary of Commerce, Penny (being a billionaire that donated large sums of money to Harvard) is also on the board of the Harvard Corporation.
As part her responsibilities on the board Penny was tasked with conducting a nationwide search for a new president and gathered some 600 "qualified" individuals. Somehow even with here troubled past of allegations of plagiarism, Gay was selected out of the 600 names and was appointed as Harvard's President.
Interestingly enough Obama graduated from Harvard and went on to being the 44th President of the US. and on Obama's second day in office he selected George Mitchell, an Arab- American, as his special envoy for Middle East peace. This was not by chance as Obama wanted to make a shift in US Israeli foreign policy. As such an Arab was going to led "his" peace effort.
Then in June of 2009 Obama declared in a speech at Cairo University “For more than sixty years they’ve endured the pain of dislocation. Many wait in refugee camps in the West Bank, Gaza, and neighboring lands for a life of peace and security that they have never been able to lead.” This, Obama declared, was an “intolerable” situation for the Palestinians and he vowed, “America will not turn our backs on the legitimate Palestinian aspiration for dignity, opportunity, and a state of their own.” His remarks were and remain today the most sympathetic by a sitting U.S. president on Israel’s dispossession of Palestinians. More or less apologized for US support of Israel - in the speech entitled "A New Beginning"
Interesting that Obama used a college campus as the setting in his announcement of a shift in US foreign policy.

My guess is it appears Obama has managed to influence the Harvard corporation via his friend Penny in her selection of a president as Gay shares a world view or something similar to Obama's. I would bet Obama continues to in many ways shape and influence colleges, business and politics so that they align with and promote policies that shape and influence geopolitics. So yet despite Gay's past history of borrowing other peoples' words Gay was picked.

Penny met Obama at a Chicago YMCA where her son participated in a basketball program coached by Obama's brother-in-law Craig Robinson. Obama and his family were frequent guests at Pritzker's Lake Michigan vacation home.
The irony is that Penny Pritzker and her family are Jewish.

For a better understanding of what is going on with the elite colleges and universities - they are being destroyed from within as according to Marxist minds these institutions are a major factor in how inequality is created. Like I stated she was picked for a reason - this is not an accident.

Again this is all part of an effort to weaken US hegemony by global elites and anything that supports free markets and capitalisms is being transformed slowly and silently. This has been done before and yes Jews were targeted as they where part of the problem as Jews have tended to be disproportionately more successful in capitalist societies and thus the final solution was created. Again the anti-Semitism is not by mistake. This is all on purpose.
