MY SAY: Brilliant! Of course there is brain activity, and now there is proof! But what effect will this have on the cognitive dissonance of those who would deny this and other scientific and common sense observations about pre-born human life? Probably none, but it may weigh heavily on arguments to the contrary. "Clump of cells" has never been an intelligent excuse for murder. Now it's even more absurd. If the nest and egg of a piping plover are sacred and protected by law, then how on God's green earth are the womb and unborn child of a human less valuable, even without consciousness?

Not the woman's body. She owns only HALF of the genetic material of the unborn child. The other half belongs to someone else, and she knows this prior to conception. If I ask you to take care of my chickens, and you agree, and then I come back to find that you killed them because you were hungry and had possession of them, we're going to have a problem. Abortion stops a heart beat.

Good questions. However some people seem to live with cognitive dissonance quite easily...maybe because they never use their heads for anything but a hatrack?
