Absolutely no impact on readiness. The same people filled the same billets, bringing the same experience, gaining the same experience. They just got paid less. With the exception my very first posting, I was below grade for the billet for six months to a year before getting promoted to grade.
Reps. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., and Robert Garcia, D-Calif. never served a day in the military and do not serve on any committees or sub-committees related to military affairs.
These two jackasses could have asked any one of the 97 veterans serving in congress and would have received the same answer. They are grandstanding and wasting taxpayer money (yours and mine) to do it.
Somebody should make em drop and knockout 50 4-count squat thrusts every 15 minutes for the entire 24 hour day.

Excellent Comment. From the time I was PFC in a team leader to when I spent a full three year tour in Europe as PSG I was always below grade (love that phrase - thank you) in the position I was occupying. Once I was the (E7) 1SG of a Cavalry Troop. Another time I was 'flocked' to be CSM of an Engineer Battalion (Active Duty assigned to a Reserve unit) for Eight months until a real one arrived from Fort Leonard Wood.

Horsenuggets...they can call for it but there isn't any...another political witchhunt during election year. If a Democrat did this it would be he is standing firm on his beliefs. Seriously...SMH!
