Federal Farm to Food Bank program cuts down on food waste and helps farmers

For about 12 years we sold our craft work at the Black Hills Farmers Market in Rapid City, SD. They had an agreement with the local food bank. The food bank truck would come by after we closed and the farmers would donate whatever produce they had left over that would not last until the next market. The farmers got a tax deduction and hungry people got some fresh veggies.
