This Day in History: WW II’s most famous bomber, Memphis Belle

Clark Gable was on "Delta Rebel" as a gunnery adviser. (2) The "Memphis Belle" battles Fw-190As high above Germany. (3) "Memphis Belle" flies through a flak-filled sky. (4) "Memphis Belle" returns to RAF Bassingbourn after a winter 1943 mission over France. He Was SO Famous Because He Managed To Fly 14 Missions As A kamikaze Fighter Pilot.

The Memphis Bell is GREAT story. One that many or most B-17 crews and Pilots can relate to. Fortunately, this crews story was actually told.
