Leadership. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. That's what mom taught me.

Modly needs to resign or be fired. Those remarks are completely inappropriate, and are sure to fan the fire when directed at the crew of the ship that just cheered their outgoing skipper. In their view Crozier was a hero for standing up for them.

The Acting Sec just did what he fired the CPT for. He blasted him to the entire crew and it leaked out.

1SG (Join to see) - he did worse. It has long been a principle of leadership that you praise in public, and chastise in private. You never, ever, belittle a commander or former commander in front of that individuals subordinates.

Heard the full audio and he was nonstop accusing the Capt. of wanting the “love” of his Sailors and media attention for himself was disgraceful. Clearly 7 years in uniform for Modly wasn’t enough for him to understand how a leader earns respect and loyalty through actions of “Mission First and People Always”.
