Eating uncooked anything is always a risk. Some things are safer than others (raw fish for example). Eating raw bats, rats, birds, pigs etc. is inviting the introduction of disease into the population. Some areas of China are living in a parallel universe where this is normal and acceptable. The Chinese government, for all of the control it exerts over the people has not managed to clean this mess up.

There was a video that someone took of the Wuhan market and it was really hard to watch. I just can't imagine eating some of the things I saw in the video!!

Yea, think I saw that as well. Pretty graphic. I try not to judge other cultures but that wet market was a nightmare.
