As saber rattling goes, it looks like China is rattling some as we are starting to awaken to the threat to our country that China poses, and all of the technical espionage they have been conducting.

It is pretty amazing how adversaries see each other as the "threat". This sounds to me like peace talks is where we should go.

We should always look at peace. Unfortunately over the last several decades it seems that while we were interested in helping "this adversary" grow and help their population, they have taken advantage and "stolen" a lot of technology that have increased their position of power in the world. We must not let them kill democracy.
I would hope that those who negotiate, are always negotiating for peace, but reiterating the consequences if they circumvent agreements.
