The Darkest Hour was the result of cowardice, the failure of the allies (France and England) to face down Hitler. The level of cowardice was so intense that even a brave man like Churchill was tempted to lose heart and succumb under the pressure of those around him who continued to quake at the prospect of war and wanted to surrender even before the battle was joined. To be honest, it puts me in mind of the current situation with North Korea. President Trump is no Obama or Bush or Clinton (the ones who appeased Kim all these years), but neither is he a Churchill. I pray that his braggadocio carries him and US through the trial.

North Korea has been allowed to "get away with murder" from day 1. Why? No one knows. Every president of every stripe has ignored the Korea question. Keep in mind that USS Pueblo is still afloat in North Korea (1968). Its possible that a world weary of war was not ready/willing to jump into another global conflict. The mobilization of a United Nations force was a positive step in the right direction, but the UN's failure to "get the job done" should have been rectified. It wasn't and therein lies one of the problems. As a result, North Korea is now nuclear and unlike the Iraqi's, won't lay down and die for the camera.

So far. It would be nice to see something. Especially from a Naval view (getting our Pueblo back...) but I doubt he'll do anything other than tweet. If he does I'll be very pleasantly surprised.
