Is the U.S. Military Ready for a War with North Korea?

I think the US military is ready. I don't think the average US citizen is ready, nor do they understand the consequences of such an action and if they did, they wouldn't stomach the potential losses. This war would be absolutely devastating in terms of human life and economic impact to the world and it is almost impossible to predict the offshoot consequences of this war; however, they would be catastrophic.

No we are not ready for any war right now because we should build it back up and start training our military more than we are doing now

Why do folks like thi s only consider the costs to the US and not our allies?
