Freed Bridge, for more then 45 years was the bridge to Panmunjom till 1998 and the US Sector of the DMZ till 1991, when we turned our last sector over to the ROKs (Republic of Korea)..... @

Thank you for this interesting post. Occupied Berlin (1945-1990) had it's own Freedom Bridge over the Havel River. It connected free West Berlin with communist East Germany -- it's where personnel exchanges etc., were made. In the Tom Hanks movie, it was called "Bridge of Spies" although the bridge's official German name is Glienicke Brucke.
